19th UIM PHOTO COMPETITION ON THE 2016 RACING SEASON
Last year, 26 photographers from 11 countries did enter 229 pictures in the different disciplines (Circuit, Offshore, Aquabike, Atmosphere, Open and retouched). Photographs were judged in the categories of Creativity,
Technical Quality, Composition and selection of topic with combined totals giving a total score for each picture.
We thank all those who participated in last year’s competition and are pleased to announce the nineteenth consecutive year of the UIM Photo Competition.
Following the success of the newly created "open" category, the UIM will once again offer you the possibility to enter the photographs taken at racing activities not listed on the UIM Calendar.
The category “Open” will assemble photographs from any Powerboating activity outside the UIM Calendar, in particular from national events. The usual existing categories (Circuit racing - Aquabike Class Pro - Offshore racing -
Endurance racing - Racing atmosphere composition - Retouched category) will remain as they are and stay restricted to events listed on the UIM Calendar.
Following categories will be awarded with Gold, Silver and Bronze rankings :
The Jury will again be presided by the professional photographer James Wright from Great Britain.
You may send your material by e-mail to Joanna Cosentino (j.cosentino@uimpowerboating.com) at the UIM Office.
To confirm your participation, you must return to us the below attached signed entry form by email (uim@uimpowerboating.com) at the latest, January 20th and send your photos by February 3rd at the latest.
PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO LABEL PROPERLY EACH PICTURE INTO THE RIGHT CATEGORY WITH YOUR NAME, FIRST NAME AND COUNTRY.
DETAILS OF YOUR PHOTOS (DATE AND VENUE OF THE EVENT, CAPTION OF THE PICTURE ETC.) MUST ALSO BE INCLUDED IN THE FILE INFO OF “PHOTOSHOP” (SEE ALSO ENTRY FORM). THE PICTURES WITH MISSING
INFORMATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
The three first ranked pictures in each category will be awarded with UIM Championship trophies and the winning pictures will be published in the UIM yearbook and in the photo gallery of the UIM website.
All participating photographers do retain copyright to their photographs. Any UIM National Authority, or other party, wishing to publish the photographs entered, will be referred directly to the relevant photographer. UIM is
however entitled to use all photographs in any UIM publication.
