WEEKEND HIGHLIGHTS - UIM OFFSHORE WC IN TVEDESTRAND -6-9 July

Norway, Tvedestrand - 6-9 July 2022 - UIM POFFSHORE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CLASS 3C, 3D,3 3B

Last week Tvedestrand Racing Klubb in Norway hosted the UIM Class 3C World Championships along with two rounds of the UIM Class 3D and 3B World Championship.

Sweden’s Fredrik Groth Fyro and Fillip Eriksson in C-86 were crowned UIM Class 3C World Champions when they drove a tactical third and final heat to finish in fourth place securing enough points to add to their previous first and second place finishes earlier in the week.

The medal places were dominated by Swedish entries, as Sebastian Groth and Josefin Due Boie in C-45 collected the silver medal and Victor Jansson and Sebastian Hogberg in C-80 the bronze.

Both of the UIM Class 3B rounds were won by the Swedish team of Anton Modin and Christoffer Groth in their Twister catamaran (B-82). The final two rounds will take place in Öregrund, Sweden at the start of August and it’s extremely tight in the championship points table with just 170 separating the reaming teams.

In the battle for the UIM Class 3D World Championship Italian Serafino Barlesi racing his Banca Generali backed Victory built catamaran took a first and second place finish. He will now head further up the Norwegian coast to Larvik for the final two races with a comfortable championship points lead over his French rival François Pinelli.
