The podium: UIM President Raffaele Chiulli awarding medals to the Norwegian Team
When applying to stage the Final Round of the 2022 UIM OFFSHORE World Championship of the categories 3A, 3D and 3X in Larvik, the Norwegian Motorsport Federation had the certainty that they would be the capital of UIM OFFSHORE Racing for the time of a long weekend, and UIM President Raffaele Chiulli didn’t miss the opportunity to attend the Racing Event on-site and to meet and exchange with the Leaders of the NMF, led by Powerboating President Mette Moen Knudsen and Secretary General Tony Isaksen, and with the leaders of the Motorsport Federations of the neighboring countries also attending the Event in Larvik.
The present and future of the Powerboating Sport was in the center of these talks, in particular the challenges of environmental and economic sustainability, as well as the options for an efficient energy transition in motorsports, on water, land and in the air.
