UIM E1 Pilot Academy: Empowering Future Electric Powerboat Champions

 

UIM E1 Pilot Academy established to create a pathway for future pilots to shine in the UIM E1 electric powerboat racing championship

 

- Training a new generation of racing stars for the world’s first all-electric raceboat championship in the UIM E1 Pilot Academy is about to get underway

- 35 candidates will receive initial training before the end of September 2023 in the search for 20 RaceBird-ready pilots to be selected by October 2023 

- Male and female athletes with experience in motorsport, cycling, Esports, extreme sports and high-speed sports are invited to apply – for details, see below

 

 

Interested athletes are invited to submit an application to be considered for the first phase of Pilot Training by sending an email to pilottraining@e1series.com, providing the following information:

 

Name / Nationality / Second languages / Gender / Resume or portfolio / Racing background / Social media handles or website / Availability (including other championships for 2024) / Passport validity / ability to travel

 

The Rounds of the UIM E1 World Championship with up to 10 participating Teams will be held over two days, consisting of practice sessions, qualifying and knockout races to determine the winner. Each participating Team will field two pilots of different gender to drive the one-design RaceBird boats, rotating driving duties throughout the race weekend.

 

The UIM E1 World Championship is the first and only all-electric powerboat racing series sanctioned by the UIM. It has been established to create a new, exciting and competitive on-water racing platform based on electric technologies to protect and restore urban waters and coastal areas.

 

The first Round of the inaugural season will take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, early 2024.
