UIM President Raffaele Chiulli with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah at the Palace
On occasion of the UIM XCAT Grand Finale, hosted by the Fujairah International Marine Club, UIM President Dr. Raffaele Chiulli took the opportunity to meet H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.
The two Leaders coincided in underlining the importance of opening the world of sport to the youth and to make them familiar with its values and the manifold benefits practitioners can enjoy. The UIM President paid tribute to the pioneering role the Fujairah International Marine Club has been playing in recent years by implementing the UIM Youth Development Program through the establishment of the first ever UIM Powerboat Training Academy in Fujairah. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi reaffirmed his commitment to further promoting water sports practice, and he expressed his satisfaction over the youth training activities that are offered under expert guidance of the UIM in the Emirate of Fujairah.
Dr. Raffaele Chiulli, appraised the rapid growth of the UIM Training Academy and its initiative to offer Instructor Training for candidates from all UIM Member Federations. Beyond the Instructor training activities proper that lead to internationally recognized UIM Certification, participants can enjoy a wide range of cultural exchange, including the fine hospitality of the Fujairah Emirate. The UIM President thanked His Highness for his continued support of the UIM Youth Development Program and expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome that is offered to the Powerboating Community every time it assembles in Fujairah.
