SUCCESSFULL OPENING OF HYDRO GP SEASON IN CZECH REPUBLIC

Jedovnice hosted last weekend the first round the F125, F250 and F500 World Championships together with one European Championship FR1000 round, and forty-six competitors from Europe and America made their way to Lake Olšovec for a busy weekend of racing.

In the F500 cockpit class, defending World Champion Marcin Zielinksi from Poland shined with three wins out of three heats of racing. FR1000, the other class featuring cockpit boats, had in its third heat what was described as the best race in many years, with the battle for first position going on for the full heat. Rolandas Kavaliauskas from Lithuania is leading the Standings after the first round.

As for F125 and F250, Italy continues its domination. Mattia Calzolari is the first leader of the F125 Overall, tightly marked by promising British Thomas Mantripp. In F250, defending World Champion Massimiliano Cremona proved once again his pace with three heats wins ahead of Wayne Turner (Great Britain) and Bulgarian Nikola Todorov.
