Monster Energy / MCON Racing Dominates UIM Class 1 World Championship

Monster Energy / MCON Racing takes the lead in the UIM Class 1 World Championship after two absolutely thrilling races on June 1st at Lake of the Ozarks (MO), USA!

The first race, originally scheduled for Friday afternoon, had to be postponed due to heavy rain and poor visibility. It was rescheduled for the following day, starting at 11:00 on Saturday morning. Initially, Team Defalco took the lead, but they had to withdraw after completing only two laps. This handed the lead to Monster Energy / M CON. dfYOUNG / Good Boy Vodka faced similar issues and withdrew after five laps, leaving Monster Energy / M CON uncontested for the remaining seven laps.

For Race 2 later that day, all three Class 1 boats lined up again. Technical problems plagued the dfYOUNG boat right from the start, forcing it out of contention. Despite ongoing issues, Defalco managed to maintain their speed initially but began to falter by lap 11. They held on until lap 13, securing second place with enough distance covered to earn 15 points.

Tyler Miller and Myrick Coil concluded the weekend with a full 40 points, placing them in a formidable position for the next races scheduled in Sheboygan on the western shore of Lake Michigan, from August 9th to 11th.
