Vichy Hosts Successful Second Round of UIM Aquabike EC

The UIM-ABP Aquabike European Championship's second round in Vichy was a resounding success, boasting a strong turnout of participants and spectators alike.

A record-breaking 122 pilots registered for the Grand Prix, necessitating pre-qualifications in Ski GP1 due to 24 entries. The event also featured the European Endurance Championship, where 16 riders competed.

 

French rider François Medori achieved podium finishes in Endurance GP1 and Runabout Circuit GP1. Oliver Koch Hansen won the Ski GP1 Grand Prix, and Estonia’s Jasmiin Ypraus triumphed in Ski Ladies GP1.

 

 

Serbia's Slobodan Sobic secured the European Endurance GP2 title, with Frenchman Pierre-Marie Vincentelli taking the GP3 European title.

 

Multiple Grand Prix victories were clinched by Belgian Yoni Hamelin, Czech Petr Dryjak, Frenchman Baptiste Calmels, Italian Ilaria Vanni, Montenegrin Mio Petrovic, Lithuania’s Grantas Gurkšnys, and Hungary’s Csongor Jászai across various categories.

 

Italian Roberto Mariani, the Freestyle World Champion, also emerged victorious.

 

 

Raimondo di San Germano, general manager of Aquabike Promotion, expressed satisfaction with the season's progress, anticipating continued success as the championship moves to Mira, Portugal.

 

The final round of the championship will be held in Mira from September 27th-29th.
