Rashed Al Qemzi Secures Historic Fifth Title in 2024 UIM Formula 2 WC

 

The final race of the 2024 UIM Formula 2 World Championship took place in Vila Velha de Ródão, Portugal, bringing the season to a close. Rashed Al Qemzi from the United Arab Emirates secured first place, followed by Giacomo Sacchi of Monaco in second, and Edgaras Riabko from Lithuania in third, on Sunday, September 22nd.

 

The 2024 season featured 26 drivers from 12 countries, all competing to become the 30th UIM F2 World Champion. Over six rounds of racing, the competition remained tight, with the championship coming down to the final race, where five drivers still had a chance to win.

 

 

In the end, Rashed Al Qemzi of Team Abu Dhabi claimed his fifth F2 World Championship title, making history as the first driver to win the championship five times. Mansoor Al Mansoori, also from Team Abu Dhabi, took third place overall, securing a 1st and 3rd finish for the team.

 

Edgaras Riabko of Lithuania earned the second spot on the podium, delivering a strong performance throughout the season.
