Nikita Lijcs crowned UIM F2 European Champion

 

 

The Latvian driver dominated the UIM F2 European Championship single event that was held last weekend in Kaunas, Lithuania.

 

Driving an ASV race boat powered by the new Mercury Racing 250 APX engine, Lijcs (71) won three of the four heats, while local hero and fan favourite Edgaras Riabko (LTU, 41) took second place in in the overall ranking with his first place in the last heat. Hilmer Wiberg (SWE, 70) rounds of the podium of the overall in what was his first ever UIM F2Championship race.

 

 

The next F2 titled event is the World Championship Round 1 on the last weekend of June in Brindisi, Italy, where two separate championship rankings will be established for boats equipped with Mercury Racing 250 APX engines and for boats powered by Mercury 200XS engines if at least five competitors are registered with the new four-stroke engine.
