The fourth round of the 2025 UIM E1 World Championship presented by PIF brought the all-electric RaceBirds to Lake Maggiore, Italy, where Team Brady claimed their first victory of the season.
Reigning champions of the series, the team supported by Tom Brady, returned to winning ways thanks to a strong team effort. Sam Coleman brought the boat home in first place in the final, after Emma Kimiläinen laid the groundwork earlier in the day by winning her group with a confident performance.

The race was full of incidents and surprises. Aoki Racing Team was disqualified for a false start, cutting their final short. Team AlUla, with LeBron James behind them, retired following a collision with Team Drogba, and later, contact between Team Brazil and Team Drogba in the final place race added to the intensity.
Team Rafa, led by Rafael Nadal, secured second place and now leads the championship standings by just seven points over Aoki. Blue Rising completed the podium in third, while Westbrook Racing, backed by Will Smith, finished fourth.

Emma Kimiläinen was named PIF Pilot of the Race for her performance in the early rounds, holding off strong competition and playing a key role in Team Brady’s overall success.
Trophies were handed out by UIM President Raffaele Chiulli, E1 CEO Rodi Basso, Lombardy Region President Attilio Fontana, and Italian sports presenter Giusy Meloni.
The event was hosted at Marina di Verbella under the Patronage of the Lombardy Region. Located in the protected waters of the Ticino Natural Park, the venue offered ideal conditions for close and competitive racing. Around 140 boats gathered along the lake to watch the action unfold.

With the season heating up, teams now turn their attention to Monaco for the next round, followed by E1’s first visit to Africa with a stop in Lagos, Nigeria. The season finale will take place in Miami, where the 2025 Champions of the Water will be crowned.
