Young Talents Shine at the UIM Formula Future WC in Hungary

For the second time after 2017, Hungary hosted the annual UIM Formula Future World Championship in Donaujváros, outside Budapest, bringing together more than 90 youth pilots from 9 countries. The participants between 6 and 18 years from Germany, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, UAE, and Ireland competed over four days in 6 age groups.

UIM President Raffaele Chiulli wouldn’t miss attending this traditional Event where the youth of the powerboating sport can exhibit their skills and ability against international competitors before a wider audience, and he awarded the medals to the winners across all six competition classes, as well as to the top three ranked national Delegations Germany (3 Gold; 1 Silver), Czech Republic (1 Gold; 3 Silver; 3 Bronze) and Lithuania (2 Gold, 1 Silver; 1 Bronze).

The UIM Formula Future is a key development category for attracting the next generation of powerboating athletes. Each year, the championship sees growing participation, confirming its role in nurturing the sport’s future. The shared experience between youth athletes and accompanying family members and officials from many different countries is a priceless contribution this Event offers to fostering cultural exchange and mutual respect. Our thanks and congratulations go to all the competitors, winners, and volunteers who contributed to making this event a great success.

"Seeing the enthusiasm, commitment, and talent of these young athletes fills me with pride and optimism. Formula Future is more than a competition — it's the foundation of our sport’s future." Raffaele Chiulli, UIM President
