2026 WADA Prohibited List Now Published

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has released the 2026 Prohibited List, which will come into effect on 1 January 2026.

This List identifies the substances and methods prohibited in sport, both in-competition and out-of-competition. It is essential that all athletes, coaches, medical personnel, and team officials review the updated version carefully to ensure full compliance.

A document summarizing the main modifications compared to the 2025 edition is also available for reference by clicking here.

As a reminder, please find below some useful information regarding the TUE and the ADEL platform.

Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE)

Athletes with legitimate medical conditions requiring the use of a prohibited substance or method may apply for a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE).
A TUE allows the use of necessary medication while ensuring that fair play and sporting integrity are maintained.

More information on the TUE process is available on the WADA website or through the UIM Anti-Doping section.

ADEL – WADA’s Anti-Doping Education and Learning Platform

We strongly encourage all athletes and their support personnel to complete the online anti-doping education courses available on ADEL (Anti-Doping Education and Learning Platform).

ADEL provides interactive learning modules covering:

The principles of Clean Sport

- The Prohibited List and TUE process

Testing procedures and athlete rights

This education plays a key role in promoting fair play and preventing unintentional rule violations.
