An interactive two-day Workshop, called by the UIM President Raffaele Chiulli and brilliantly organized in the Algarve by the Portuguese Powerboat Federation President Paulo Ferreira and the FPM Team, brought together UIM Council Members, Presidents of Member Federations and representatives of the UIM Promoter partners, to review the Organization’s governance structures and to fine tune its Strategic Plan for the Future, by reaffirming its commitment to modernization, growth, and long-term sustainability.

Particular attention was given to measures that can raise the awareness of the large variety of Powerboating activities and put the spotlight on the achievements of the Sport’s heroes, the drivers, through reinforced communication, transparency and enhanced global digital and social media presence.
Attracting new audiences, engaging the young generations more actively, strengthening the support of organizers and athletes, increasing the visibility of the powerboating sport worldwide and generating new sources of revenue for the UIM and its stakeholders.
“This Workshop was one of the most fruitful UIM meetings we have held in the last few years,” said UIM President Dr. Raffaele Chiulli. “It sets the kick-off for a new pathway towards the future of the UIM. Together, we can build a stronger and better future for our federation. The work initiated during these two days will now continue, starting with the follow-up and the implementation of the actions identified during the workshop.”
This initiative reflects the UIM’s determination to modernize its structures and strengthen its global presence while preserving the rich heritage and values of the powerboating sport. The outcomes of the workshop will contribute to shaping the next stages of the UIM’s strategic development process and help define the federation’s future priorities.
