DROGBA WINS FIRST UIM E1 GRAND PRIX IN MONACO

Team Drogba Global Africa won their first UIM E1 race in Monaco. Micah Wilkinson and Tara Pacheco delivered the performance of their season to take the team's maiden victory. Team Brady finished second, and Sports.com Predict Team Miami Powered by Magnus were back on the podium in third.

Brady's second place puts them top of the Championship for the first time this season, nine points ahead of Will Smith's Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola, who had led coming into the weekend.

Drogba's best result before Monaco was seventh, in Lake Como. The win moves them up to sixth overall.

Team Monaco set the fastest qualifying time and led early, but a wrong turn on course sent them into the Place Race alongside Westbrook. Smith's team won that race to limit the damage, finishing seventh for the day.

This was UIM E1's third race at the Yacht Club de Monaco, with Port Hercule once again drawing large crowds to watch the racing.

E1 now heads to Angola for its first race in Southern Africa, the E1 Luanda GP, on September 12–13.

UIM President Dr. Raffaele Chiulli congratulated with Team Drogba Global Africa at the close of racing. "Seeing a first-time winner step onto the top of the podium is one of the moments that makes this sport special," said Dr. Chiulli. "Team Drogba's performance was a reminder of the strength and depth of competition across the E1 grid."
