Following a proposal by UIM President Raffaele Chiulli, the UIM Council today (October 21) approved the world powerboat federation’s new Environmental Policy during the 95th General Assembly in Fujairah, UAE.
The policy is part of the Union’s focus on reducing the UIM's environmental impact and encouraging sustainability and environmental awareness. The UIM continues to work towards the ‘greening’ of the sport through its commitment to the IOC Sustainability Strategy and the UNFCCC Sports for Climate Action Programme.
