UIM President, Dr. Raffaele Chiulli, attended the Portuguese Powerboating Federation's Award Giving Gala in the city of Mira, Portugal. The event was a celebration of the Portuguese national powerboating Champions, and Dr. Chiulli was delighted to be in attendance.
"I am really happy to be here, Portugal is a very active country within the UIM with many drivers involved in the UIM Championships and many races organized every year," Dr. Chiulli said. "I'd like to thank President Paulo Ferreira for his invitation to this event and for all the constructive discussions to bring the sport forward. His dedication to this sport is truly remarkable."
The UIM President also expressed optimism for the future of the sport: "We are back to racing and back to these festivals of sport. I am confident that we can leave the challenging times we had over the past three years behind us. It is an honour to serve this Union and bring the sport back to a brighter future."
